Alpharetta Animal Hospital was started in 1965 as a large animal facility, when most of North Fulton County was rural farmland. In 1973, Dr. J.C. Hines purchased the clinic and converted it into a small animal hospital, with a staff of one veterinarian and one part-time employee. At that time, Alpharetta had a residential population of 2,900 and one traffic light.
Today, Alpharetta's residential population is estimated at around 35,000, with well over 100,000 people finding employment within the city. And as the Alpharetta community grew, so did our practice. Our present facility was built in 1985, and now has five veterinarians with a supporting staff, all of whom are dedicated to giving the best care possible to your pets. It has truly been a pleasant and rewarding experience to grow with such a dynamic community and its loving pet owners.
