Dr. Shaw grew up in the Roswell area and has been employed at Alpharetta Animal Hospital since 1991. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree from the University of Georgia. In 1998, Dr. Shaw graduated from the University of Georgia - College of Veterinary Medicine and returned to Alpharetta Animal Hospital as a veterinarian. She and her husband have four children, Ethan, Will, Elizabeth, and Jack, three dogs, two cats, a cockatiel, and a hamster.
