History of Alpharetta Animal Hospital
As Alpharetta grew from a small rural town into one of Georgia’s most vibrant suburban communities, the hospital grew right alongside it. What began as a modest two-doctor practice has evolved into a full-service veterinary hospital known for its high medical standards, surgical expertise, and commitment to exceptional patient care. Through every chapter of growth, Dr. Hines’ philosophy—treat every pet like family and every client with honesty and kindness—remains at the heart of the practice.
Today, the hospital is owned by Pam, Dr. Hines’ daughter, who continues to uphold the values and vision her father established. Under her leadership, Alpharetta Animal Hospital blends the warmth of a long-standing neighborhood clinic with the advanced technology and modern medicine of a contemporary veterinary center.
For more than 50 years, generations of families have trusted us with the care of their pets—a testament to the strong foundation laid by Dr. Hines and the enduring commitment of our team. As we look to the future, our mission remains unchanged: to provide outstanding, compassionate veterinary care to every pet who walks through our doors.
Pam Willis
Meet Pam, the proud new owner of Alpharetta Animal Hospital. Growing up around the practice, she fondly remembers watching her dad, Dr. Hines, perform surgeries while she enjoyed chili dogs on the counter. Pam worked at AAH throughout her childhood, doing everything from cleaning to answering the phone. Now, she is excited to continue her father's legacy of exceptional veterinary care and personalized service that has been a staple of downtown Alpharetta for over 50 years, with the support of AAH’s dedicated team.

Dr. Alex Davenport
Dr. Davenport is the closest thing to a superhero with 4 children, 7 pets, and a passion for Disney World! She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Georgia, where she was part of the Dairy Cow Judging Team. Since 2013, she has dedicated her career to small animal veterinary medicine, with a strong passion for internal medicine, cardiology, and oncology. While she enjoys all areas of veterinary care, her heart lies in helping companion animals live healthier lives. A proud UGA Bulldogs fan, she balances her professional dedication with family time, cooking, and staying active on her Peloton.
